SINGER | SONGWRITER
Bex is a Gospel Singer and songwriter from London. Performing since the age of 5, it was inevitable Bex with her slight frame and enormous voice, she was destined to have a passion for music. Being around a Gospel singing Mum and music vinyl collecting Dad, she would be exposed to the kingdom of God and its beautiful harmonics. Being a proficient Soprano, secret alto and harmonic tenor vocalist. Bex skilfully uses her soothing soulful range and tone to paint vivid and diverse stories in her songs, providing her audience with an exciting window into her consciousness, experiences and perspective on life.
Bex insists on remaining herself by going with her instincts and visual presentation. Bex plays a large part in the production, composition and arrangement of her songs. Working with producers in and out of the UK. So as to convey not only her love for God but to showcase her huge talent for songwriting, performing, and singing.
Bex’s overall vision is to connect, share and give her audience a connection to her friend the king Jesus. Even though Bex specialises in Gospel as her chosen form as an musical artistry, she is heavily involved in songwriting contemporary music of all genres and is currently working with a production team to provide music to various major record labels. Bex has featured on a song for the BBC 2017 for the “Apprentice” also plans on releasing a project within summer.
Bex’s performance, recording & writing portfolio is extensive and a sign of just how coveted her talent really is, she can proudly say she has performed at the O2 Arena, O2 Academy, ILUVLIVE, Lovebox and the Legendary Ronnie Scotts, Hotvoxx agency Reggae Gospel TTM Collective, Miss Caribbean 2017, LondonLive & Screen Nation.
Also planned, directed, marketed, promoted and performed at her own event Bexsongstress Live Transition #BLT in April 2015. Bex has been nominated for Premier Gospels "Best Gospel Awards Newcomer 2016". Bex has been working hard on some new music hoping to release soon.
Voice Over lady for Reelworld, BBC1xtra 1- 6 radio, Kiss FM & 2FM Ireland released EP Transition which reflects her decision to steer away from more secular music and concentrate on her beloved Gospel. Bex is inspired by Kirk Franklin, Mary Mary, Fred Hammond, Jill Scott & India Arie.
